Modeling Public Sector Corruption and the Institutional Environment in Emerging Economies: An Institutional Theory View

چکیده

This paper models and empirically explores the institutional environment in emerging economies concerning public sector corruption. Employing perspectives from theory, develops strategies for reducing perceived level of corruption by assessing interaction between regulatory, cognitive, normative elements. We find that elements, legal system, business, professional associations have a positive linear relationship with reduced In contrast, freedom media does not serves as moderator. Finally, effect system is stronger than business associations.
